Webster Auto Computer Diagnostics
It is said that today's cars are more complex than ever to diagnose and repair. While there is some truth to that statement, the best thing we at Turner Auto Care can do to stay on top of our game is training.
All vehicles have to accomplish the same tasks. They all must start, stop, turn, keep passengers cool in the summer and warm in the winter and absorb as much of the pot holes we get here in the north east as possible as not to rattle our teeth out.
What we teach our mechanics is the basics of each of those systems so that when some engineer comes up with a different way of accomplishing the same task it is easier to figure out. And this philosophy is no different when it comes to computer diagnostics and electrical systems.
That being said, let me make myself very clear. There are certain steps to take that are necessary to properly diagnose the problem when your check engine light comes on. One of the first steps is to read what the code is that is stored in the computer. The next step is NOT go to the part store. Every code has a diagnostic flow chart procedure to help determine the root cause of the problem.
So if you like wasting money, you can throw parts at your vehicle to try to fix the problem. Or, you can make an appointment with Turner Auto Care to get a digital vehicle inspection to make sure there are no other surprises with your vehicle and, have us properly diagnose and repair the problem.
